Visions/AwardCraft Safety Approach to Compliance
Visions/Awardcraft is committed to providing safe and compliant products to our customers. In addition, we ensure that each member of our supply chain shares this commitment and conducts business in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
Each product provided by Visions/Awardcraft undergoes a design review to ensure safety, and we use third party laboratory partners as needed to meet Federal and State regulations. We can also implement additional standards to meet the specific requirements of a particular market or end-user.
Understanding compliance regulations can be challenging and we’re happy to help - if you have any questions about Visions/Awardcraft’s approach to compliance or need information on a particular product, please contact your sales representative or compliance@Visions/Awardcraft.com.
Consumer Protection Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) Compliance
The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) is a US Federal Law passed in 2008. It strengthened the safety requirements for many products, particularly those meant for children aged 12 and under. It also added new restrictions for chemicals like lead and phthalates.
Visions/Awardcraft has implemented a program to ensure every product meets the CPSIA. Copies of test reports, General Conformity Certificates (GCC) and Children Product Certificates (CPC) are available upon request.
California Proposition 65 Compliance (Prop 65)
Also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, it was passed by California voters in 1986 and applies to every product sold in California. Prop 65 is a labeling law, and requires sellers to label their products if it contains one of over 900 chemicals currently on the chemical watch list.
Visions/Awardcraft Prop 65 compliance approach includes a testing program designed to reduce the risk of a Prop 65 violation. In addition, upon request we can add a warning label that complies with the regulation. An example of this warning label is shown below:
“Warning: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and/or other reproductive harm.”
